One special trip in the making that ended up disastrous ended up saving my photographic ass.
the chicago trip was presented on a whim while discussing roadtrips in general. with the interstate slicing right through Nashville, why not head north?
the only problem with this idea is that five people all had to pack in my car and basically live in it. i didn't mind as much, but apparently some did, and at the last moments, respectfully bowed out of our endeavour.
damn.
it was down to three including me. that number that's always a crowd, yet naturally convenient.
the entire thing lasted no more than a day, we arrived 2:00 am friday mornning and left 10:00 am friday night. exhaustion and expensive living got the best of us, so we decided at a dunkin donuts on the north side of town to venture back.
somehow during those fleeting moments in between the massive cityscape i shot two of the most important rolls of my life. those rolls yielded nearly 30 wonderful prints, 12 of which are on display on my website and flickr.
i couldn't be more proud of them, but perhaps more picky when it comes to alignment. i did straight street photography to create an "urban metaphor" that ultimately stands on what you make of it.
thanks
